Beef on Weck Sandwich T-shirt

What is a Beef on Weck?  If you live in upstate NY, Buffalo area- you know what the heck a Beef on Weck sandwich is.  A beef on weck is a sandwich made with roast beef on a kummelweck roll, a roll that is topped with kosher salt and caraway seeds.

The sandwich folklore of this sandwich creation is that a local pub owner wanted to serve some sort of food for his patrons.  He thought to us the kummelweck roll to create the beef on weck, with the thought that the salty top of the roll would encourage his patrons to purchase more drinks.  (similar to when they would have pretzels and peanuts to enjoy).

A typical beef on weck is made from slow-roasted rare roast-beef that gets thinly hand-carved, served on a kummelweck roll. The cut face of the top half of the roll may be dipped in the jus from the roast. They also  prepare horseradish to spread on the top half of the roll.  

I have been hearing for years from Buffalo and Bills Mafia about making a Beef on Weck shirt.  However I never really knew if it would do well and so I held off.  I became motivated this year when I started watching their football team and had a vested interest since they drafted a player from my college - (#13 Gabriel Davis from UCF).

Once that happened I was all in and I was consuming the sandwich and really enjoying it.  I reached out to Chris Robinson, a Buffalo fan and UCF fan to work on this great NY State Classic.
