This week I asked Brody Harris to be a guest blogger for What’s Your Favorite Sandwich? I featured Brody and his Crazy Monkey Trucker in December’s “What’s your favorite sandwich?’ so I thought he’d enjoy it since he is a huge Star Trek fan and a fan of William Shatner. Thank you Brody.
Here we go:
I’d like to thank Biggie for allowing me to write this guest post for, What’s Your Favorite Sandwich.
Deli Fresh Threads is one of my favorite indy brands, Star Trek is one of my favorite Science Fiction franchises, and William Shatner is one of my favorite entertainers. Writing this post is a trifecta of awesome for me. Thanks Biggie.
While arguably most famous for his role as Captain James T. Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise, William Shatner has worked tirelessly to keep the public entertained for many years and in many ways. He’s been a cop named T.J. Hooker. He fluently speaks and performed a role entirely in Esperanto. He created his own Science Fiction franchise, TekWar. He hosted the popular and long-running show Rescue 911. His character was so well received on the TV show, The Practice, that he got his own spin-off show, Boston Legal, for which he won two Emmys and a Golden Globe. He’s still hard at work as the spokesperson for Priceline. Most importantly, he performed the most unique rendition of Rocket Man ever seen.
Maybe it’s because he’s one of the busiest actors in showbiz that his favorite sandwich is the closest one in reach. With no time to choose, he’s forced to take what he can get. Or, maybe it goes deeper than that. Maybe it’s a testament to living in the moment and savoring whatever life provides. Or, maybe he feels there are just too many tasty sandwiches to choose from, so why waste time deciding? Eat all the Sandwiches!
