My brand may be new but that doesn’t mean I don’t know a bit about patience.  Sometimes when you are so excited about something you just want to fast forward and get it going and get it out there for all to see.  It is so difficult to wait.  Sometimes that wait may not be your doing.  It could be you are waiting on things to get back to you (samples, designs, prints, labels, etc).  It’s better to get it done right and get them the way you envision it than settling and putting out something you are not happy with.

I had a rough time coming up with a name, but I didn’t want to just pick something and go with it.  I kept my ideas/designs under wraps and just kept doing things towards the brand.  I figured just because I didn’t have a name, I did not have to stop brainstorming.  I knew that I needed to have things right before opening or starting Deli Fresh Threads.  It’s nearly impossible to do a second 1st impression.

Once I came up with my idea and a name I knew I needed to start building all the elements of the brand before I started telling everyone what I was working on.  Especially since I didn’t want to have the questions that come up after: (when will you be opening?; when can I get shirts?, why are you taking so long?, etc).

I had some designs that I’ve had to get re-done because they just didn’t look like something I wanted to put out there to represent Deli Fresh Threads.

There are some things I know I want my brand to have, that I plan to build up towards, but I am going on this journey using that patience and focus to move forward improving my brand every day.

I have read countless articles from entrepreneurs on how to run a t-shirt brand.  You really start a brand for the love and not to get rich quick.  It is a long process that sometimes may require evolving your brand until you find that right formula that allows you to build your audience. So I will keep building.

I was once told to not ask for Patience but to ask for Wisdom/Knowledge.
