Who doesn’t love ice cream? Thanks to Deli Fresh Threads I’ve gotten a chance to be social and meet some great folks thanks to the brand and social media. I’ve had the chance to interact with – Scott Modrzynski aka MojosWork a creative artist. We’ve spoken so much through the years I even shared his Favorite Sandwich.
Scott and I started DMing a few months ago and he asked if I wanted to be part of the project he was working on; an Ice Cream Social – a socially distant group art show.
Ice Cream Social was started as a collaborative effort amongst creators to generate awareness of their work and style. Essentially, its a themed group art show highlighting the work of creators from across the spectrum of visual media, while acknowledging the challenge of social distancing. Designers, illustrators, painters, pyrographers, food artists, needleworkers, and embroiderers have all come together to share their work and celebrate the greatest of frozen treats in their own way. Every Friday new projects are revealed throughout the summer, along with Q&As with the talented artists that make us all scream for ice cream.
I am very excited to share that I was asked by Scott to be part of the Ice Cream Social and this Friday, July 1oth (and yes I do scream for ICE CREAM!)
As many of you know I am not a designer, illustrator, or painter but I do have a love Ice Cream Sandwiches- so I was very happy to be part of it. I had to do something special so I made and took a photo of an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich using vanilla ice cream and 2 Chocolate Chip Cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse
Each cookie weighs in 1/2 lb and each is a piece of heaven- the only thing that would have made my ice cream sandwich better would have been some Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream to go with those amazing cookies.
What a fun project to be a part of. I hope you enjoy it. Click on the Ice Cream Sandwich to read the interview
