We are traveling further than we have before to enjoy a familiar taste. I have done a few #SandwichEatUp events at Pom Pom’s in Orlando and folks keep wanting to come back to it. I was contact by Pom to see if I would be interested in doing a #SandwichEatUp in their newest location- Pom Pom’s St Pete in St Petersburg, FL. Over a year ago they opened a 2nd location out in the Burg.
I have never done a #SandwichEatUp event outside of the Orlando/Central Florida but since Pom from Pom Pom’s asked if I’d be interested- I decided to take this the 1st road trip #SandwichEatUp event. If you have never been to Pom Pom’s before- Pom describes it best with “We are Mad Hatter meets Willy Wonka. If those two were to have lunch together, this is what they would come up with.”
So lets talk about Pom Pom’s St Pete: It is located in the Grand Central District are in Midtown St Pete. 2950 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33712
When you come to Pom Pom’s St Pete you can try their famous MaMa Ling Ling’s Thanksgiving or try some of their exclusive St Pete sandwiches like Le Bubba, Danny G, and the Skyway Melt featuring smoked fish, capers, and onions. Check out the rest of their menu HERE.
It is great to see Yelpers are loving Pom Pom St Pete with a 4.5 Star rating. Click Here to read what Yelpers have to say.
This will be my first #SandwichEatUp in the St Perterburg area- if you are in the area or know of folks near downtown St Pete- please let them know about it.
Please wear your Deli Fresh Threads shirts at any of my #SandwichEatUp events.
What’s a #SandwichEatUp?
If you have not attended one of my 29 other #SandwichEatUp events you may be wondering what is a #SandwichEatUp? Well it’s a monthly sandwich meet up where anyone that enjoys a good sandwich can meet and try a new place along with others. Each month, I try to pick a sandwich shop that is not a chain, that I enjoy in the Central Florida area and we all meet up and help support another small business that makes great sandwiches. I usually do them after work on a Monday or Tuesday night (usually a slow night for a business and it makes easier to accommodate all of us).
I hope you can come out and enjoy a sandwich with us on Saturday, June 18th at Pom Pom’s in St Pete.
