I am a big fan of Adam Richman. If you don’t know who he is – if I said the show Man vs. Food- you would know right away who I am talking about.
Adam has been the host of many shows I have enjoyed. He has hosted: Man vs. Food, Man vs. Food Nation, Amazing Eats, as well as my favorite “Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America”- where he matched up his favorite sandwiches in different regions and determined HIS favorite sandwich in America. (I stress the HIS because many disagree with his decision and fail to see that it’s Adam Richman’s fav sandwich).
He also has hosted Fandemonium (a show about crazy super fans), and his newest show premiering this July is what I think will be my one of my new favorite summer shows: Food Fighters
In NBC’s Food Fighters, Adam is hosting a show where homegrown amateur cooks battle and test their skills against professional chefs making their “signature dish” vs 5 professional chefs trying to make a better version in hope of a dinner party picking their dish. The show premieres July 22nd on NBC.
Adam has a future project called Man finds Food. In Man Finds Food- Adam travels to places that have “the most unique, surprising and delicious hidden food treasures in every town,” “Whether it’s an off-the-menu item only locals know, or an amazing eatery inside a bowling alley”. This is exactly what I try to find and do when I visit a city. I think it’s a great concept and I look forward to watch Adam take us on an adventure.
Did you know that since 1995 Adam has had a travel journal travel journal including each of the restaurants he visited and what he learned from the trip? The funny part is that the journal was really more a personal journal but when writing he would end up writing about the restaurants décor, the waitress, the music, and the food. That experience I believe helped play a role in how he is involved with Travel Channel doing so many shows about food. I also think it’s a reason he would be natural for his new show Man Finds Food.
I admire Adam because he felt he needed to make a change in his life and didn’t like the effect of constant traveling and eating crazy foods and his health. He made the commitment to himself and has lost over 60lbs. I think that takes a lot of dedication especially since your work life revolves around delicious foods.
He also found a way to mix both his loves- food, theater and television production and become the television host that he is. Shows a lot of dedication, work and commitment.
When I first started tweeting from @DeliFreshThrds one of my major highlights was seeing that Adam was following me. The guy is great and I wish nothing but the best for him. I appreciate his feedback and I’m glad he is a fan of what I do and of Deli Fresh Threads.
You can follow @AdamRichman on twitter, Like on Facebook and follow him on Instagram. Make sure to catch his new show Food Fighters on NBC on July 22nd and be on the look out for his upcoming project Man Finds Food.
Speaking of sandwiches let’s talk about his favorite sandwich:
Based on his Travel Channel show: “Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America” current favorite sandwich is a juicy roast pork sandwich topped with sharp provolone and sauteed broccoli rabe and drenched in pork gravy from Tommy DiNic’s at the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Find out more about Tommy DiNics HERE:
Adam also makes great sandwiches. Here is him making one of his Adam Richwiches:
